Walking With Fools
The Bible tells us He who walks with the wise grows wise but a companion of fools suffers harm. "Son I don't think it's good for you to be hanging around those guys." "Mom would you stop it, they are on the basketball team and just because they make bad choices doesn't mean I will do the same thing." Door slammed. Many of us are told as kids that we shouldn't hang around certain people for reasons only wiser individuals see. I chose to start hanging around people who I thought were cool because they wore high dollar clothes, had some nice jewelry, and funny thing is I kept driving them around. "Dad can you come get me?" "Where are you son?" "At the police station." click. So does that mean you are coming? It doesn't matter if you do what others are doing but if you hang around those fools long enough you will suffer the consequences of their actions.

Acceptance Leads to Influence
Acceptance Leads to Influence
Team Satty has asked that I start writing a blog and so here it goes..My title of acceptance leads to influence deals with how I chose to compromise my life just to be accepted by others. Early in life I was looked upon as being a good kid and decent athlete but when I wasn't on top' anymore I started to look for others ways to become liked. In my mind I thought people liked me because I played sports and never once thought people liked me for many other reasons than that. Actually people probably hated me because of sports because I was very arrogant. As I got older and no longer had something to claim I was good at I started to compromise my core beliefs and values so that others would accept me. By doing this I started to lose focus on who I was or what I was doing. I no longer liked who I was becoming but could I change now after becoming Mr. Popular again? More to come...Stay tuned!!

Sattyball the prequel
Satty doesn't want this site to be about just him. However, THIS post is about the Todd Satterfield. The man who couldn't get his own alias one night out on the boat and the man who was well over par on the 2nd hole at players club and sent out a 2page email the next day describing his experience. This is about the man who saved my life one night in east st. louis to find out it wasn't even me he was saving. and this is also about the guy who purposely accidentally hit into a group in front of us at Audubon and the guy who threw a ball over the backstop after finding out that we had bought two dozen mush balls for a baseball tourney in louisville. It's also about the guy who took in a friend at a moments notice when he was going thru a hard time at a friends request.
I hope this post may spur some of your prequel stories about Todd because to me Todd Satterfield is much much more than his diagnosis. and I also hope it spurs you to tell stories about your loved ones and their stories, their prequel.

Team Satty and what we want
Good afternoon to everyone. I hope all had a great weekend. It was so nice to see all the TEAM SATTY shirts out lastnight at Rookies along with the great stories and laughs I shared. (Also shared some really good hugs!) I do want everyone to know that Team Satty is not specifically about Todd Satterfield and his cancer. This site will be for a bigger purpose. Informing facts and educating people about this disease. Passing positive influence on to the next individual in anyway, shape, or form.
I would also like to invite any cancer survivor or individual battling this disease to become apart of Team Satty. Sharing experience as well as awareness of survival is of utmost importance. So many individuals that beat cancer are forgotten and we should focus on the individual's that win this battle as much as those who have left for a better place.
Please contact us if you have any other questions.
Have a great day and again thank you for all of your support.

Good Morning
Special thank you to John Siewert, Justin Willingham, Colby Whitledge, and Chad Buckman for taking part in developing this site. This is absolutely amazing site and metaphorically appropriate for the road ahead.
Today I will be meeting with Dr. Blum to discuss a new study that she feels may be appropriate for my case. I am anxiously awaiting information. The ball is beginning to spin a little faster and it's getting close to developing a plan of action. This may have seemed like a slow process to some, but I would much rather be diagnosed and treated properly than inappropriatly.
Thank you so much and please, if you whale any questions, contact me.

Dec.15, 2011
I have spent the last few days at M. D. Anderson. It is an amazing place that I hope anyone who is diagnosed with cancer can find the means to visit. Spending these days with Satty has opened my eyes to quite a few things. One is the overwhelming support of the community Satty has built throughout his life. Henderson, Ky is a large part of this community. It has become evident why so many quality people are a product of the Henderson community and we find them throughout this world making an impact. The overwhelming support is due in part to the testament of the multiple people who have shown not only their caring side but their ability to lead through tough times. The Henderson community is truly giving back.
While we are currently supporting Satty in his fight, we are aware that others have similar battles. Our hope is that this community will provide its insight and support on this platform so others may visit and find the strength, encouragement, knowledge, and network they need to live strong.
