Takes a licking a keeps on ticking
Satty chose to begin chemo at the earliest available time slot with the largest dose. When he told me this my thought was, well of course he did. I could not help but think of the time he boxed a much larger Alex Egan in a boxing ring match with boxing gloves in high school. Of course, no one else would step in the ring with this future college football player and at the time oversized high school athlete. Satty weighed in at about a buck 50, generously. He stepped right up and took the first punch to the jaw with his hands at his waist. Looked him right back in the eye and said, "do it again". He did and hard. Satty said, "do it again". He did and harder. Then Satty threw a flurry of punches that made this match one for the story books. While Satty has been "hit in the mouth" by this first round of chemo, I have seen him bounce back and know he is just the man for the fight.

I heard about the boxing match years later...like I have said before, I am glad he is one determined human being; much more now than when he was 2! :) I am proud of him and how well he has done!!
